About
Cambridge Middle School educates, inspires, and empowers approximately 610 students in grades 6-8. We offer a range of experiences that nurture academic learning, social-emotional development, and good citizenship. In addition, our school-wide positive behavior focus teaches five Bluejacket character traits — respect, compassion, responsibility, honesty, and self-discipline — embedded in our culture and community.
To support our students, teachers work in collaborative teams centered on what is best for our students. Collaborative conversations focus on learning targets with scaffolded support for student success. The daily schedule provides time for every student to enrich or extend their learning during a daily Student-Teacher Access Time (STAT). In addition to core classes meeting Minnesota standards, students have opportunities in art, band, choir, physical education, Project Lead the Way, and more. Students participate in a wide variety of activities, arts, and athletics outside of the school day to explore their diverse interests. The needs of our students drive our decisions as we support every student, every day.
