Philosophy
It is the philosophy of Cambridge-Isanti Schools that athletics be considered an integral part of a program of education providing experiences that will help boys and girls to grow physically, mentally and emotionally. Although tempting to emphasize the elements of competition and winning, these elements are controlled to the extent that they do not determine the nature of the program. In the seventh and eighth grades, athletic emphasis is placed on participation regardless of the final outcome of the contest. Principles of good sportsmanship are to prevail at all times and levels of participation.
